Rachel spent most of her childhood composing Nancy Drew-style stories with herself as the protagonist, or in all-day movie marathons with her film-buff mother.  She was born and raised in Los Angeles, and recently moved back after receiving her BA in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Santa Barbara, College of Creative Studies. An incessant critic and admirer of all things entertainment, Rachel can be overheard discussing the merits of over-the-top '80s action flicks and sci-fi as social commentary. When she's not writing or editing, Rachel finds herself at midnight movie premieres, anxiously awaiting District 10, or recreating the perfect pasta carbonara.
