Jess joined the ranks of music nerd while attending CSU in Fort Collins, Colorado. She joined the volunteer staff at the campus radio station: KCSU FM. While earning a degree in Technical Journalism, concentrating in TV News and Video Production, she also interned at Planet Radio learning every aspect of radio at the very small radio station.

She graduated in May 2003 and moved to Chicago to work at Victory Records as Director of Licensing, helping with everything from accounting, licensing, copyrights, online promotion, and whatever else anyone would teach her.

After a year, she found a new path as tour manager and touring musician with The Firebird Band. Playing keyboards and singing back-up vocals during two U.S./Canadian tours kept her busy for about 6 months. During a break from touring, she began an internship with maniaTV.com.

At maniaTV, she worked her way up to Music Manager / Producer by 2006. She produced a variety of music genre shows and booked and conducted over 400 interviews with artists, as well as numerous live performances.

When the company moved to L.A. in 2008, she moved back to radio. She now works in marketing and promotions for KOSI 101.1 and Studio 1430 KEZW in Denver, Colorado.

Jess’ home has also been known as official band housing through the years.
