Bradford L. Schlei is a morning surfer, polo champ and ardent man of the Arts.  Co-founder of Stone Canyon Entertainment, Brad has served as partner and Head of Production of Muse Productions--creators of such critically acclaimed films as American Psycho, Sofia Coppola’s directorial debut Virgin SuicidesBuffalo 66,  Irreversible, and Bully. As a producer, Schlei’s credits include SpunSlingblade, Swingers and, most recently, The Killer Inside Me (2010), starring Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, and Casey Affleck. Brad is currently developing two new features: Music For Torching--the A.M. Homes novel (Buck Henry); and Mama Black Widow by beloved novelist Iceberg Slim.

 

Brad was born and raised in Los Angeles, attended Harvard School, Bennington College, and Yale Law School. Previously he worked for the law-firm of Herman and Wallach, then the legal department of CAA. 

 

Schlei is a frequent guest speaker on the subjects of Film, Literature, and Art, and has lectured at USC Film School MFA writing program and Columbia University Film School.

 

A consummate bon vivant, Brad can be found at the most discerning art openings, museums, restaurants, and public art events which he will report on and share as Buzzine’s West Coast Art Editor.
