Wolfmother, having been revamped with Andrew Stockdale and three new band members, is finally gearing up to release their sophomore album, titled Cosmic Egg. The single, “Back Round,” was released on the Internet earlier this year in March, and is streaming on their MySpace. The song is full of signature Wolfmother guitar riffs yet has a bigger, more stadium rock feel to it. However, “Back Round” does not seem to appear on the album. Here is the tracklist:

To promote the album, Wolfmother will be playing at the Pomona Fairplex in Pomona, California in August before also heading across the US and parts of Canada on a mini-tour in support of The Killers, then returning to Australia to play some shows for the latter half of September. They will return to the US to play the Voodoo Festival in New Orleans on Halloween, and tour the rest of the year in Australia. Cosmic Egg is scheduled for release on October 13^th.
