If you live in LA and keep your ear to the ground, you might have heard the secret Jane’s Addiction shows talked about in hushed but giddy tones, subtly texted to people, and inevitably bringing out hordes of people.

Of course, the cat’s out of the bag now with the announcement of the NIN/JA tour (Nine Inch Nails and Jane’s Addiction). But, in anticipation of what could arguably be called a landmark tour, Rhino Records is teaming up with the original band lineup (to whit: vocalist Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery and drummer Stephen Perkins) to release the Cabinet of Curiosities — a very limited edition, 43-track, 4-disc CD/DVD box set.

Featuring never-before-heard demos, all manner of live goodies and tons of rarities (including a couple candid home videos), this is a must-have for any true Jane’s fan. What’s more, the box set actually comes in a shrine-like cabinet full of fake memorabilia.
