Will The Bizkit Be Back?

Limp Bizkit Plans a Return

Anyone who even loosely paid attention to rock radio in the late ’90s probably, at some point, caught the soothing rap metal sounds of Florida-based group Limp Bizkit. Unfortunately for most, this fast-paced Florida fivesome became the poster children for the degradation of a promising form of rock called “nu-metal.”

Now, a band that even the worst comedians won’t lampoon…is returning.

Please, don’t kill the messenger.

On the band’s MySpace site, vocalist Fred Durst states, “It is getting very close to time to drop the bizkit on the universe.”

Surprisingly enough as it is, there is a good reason why those in music journalism aren’t referring to this resurgence of Limp Bizkit as a “reunion”…mainly because the band never really broke up!

Since the group’s sophomore effort Significant Other, most who paid even casual attention to the band probably haven’t heard much from them, but lo and behold, they have been quite active (minus the participation of guitarist Wes Borland — arguably the most talented member of Limp Bizkit) and went on to release two subsequent albums and a seven-track EP, with varying degrees of commercial success.

To the disappointment of their fans (and the elation of most others), Durst and his Bizkit continue to remain somewhat elusive on a timetable for a new release and tour, but according to a direct (and eloquent) response from the man himself to one of their fans, “I’m gonna get up on the stage for you, man, and don’t worry about it. It’s coming. And you better wear your panties or your diaper or whatever, ’cause I’m gonna rock your f*cking ass off, brother!”

What is the market price for adult diapers these days?
