Nyce Billy
“The saddest thing in life is wasted talent.”
It is very likely that you recognize this famous quote from the 1993 movie A Bronx Tale. It is also very likely that soon you will be able to recognize the sounds of next big artist from the Bronx, Nyce Billy.
A Bronx Tale, aside from being a classic motion picture, also happens to share the title of Nyce Billy’s debut album that is currently in the making. And while this 20-year-old is undeniably talented, he is certainly not wasting it.
Remember that little thing called quality music? Just when we’re all ready to think producing excellent new tunes was a thing of the past, listening to Nyce Billy’s hot new single “Feels So Good” is enough to restore even the most critical music aficionado’s faith in the industry.
As the premier artist of the new label Everything To Gain Entertainment, he is also making his mark this fall in New York City. As the hip-hop winner from the September Faces in the Crowd industry showcase, Nyce Billy returned this month as a featured act.
However, if you have yet to see this artist while he does his thing live, don’t fret. Nyce Billy is focused on booking many more performances in the near future. Fun, friendly, and full of energy, he’s in the studio 24/7 working towards creating music that encompasses all kinds of emotions, from happy to sad and everything in between.
One single at a time, Nyce Billy is bringing the ’90s back, as his sound is heavily influenced by this “golden era.” Musical muses include LL Cool J and Mase, in addition to the classic sounds of jazz, Marvin Gaye, and Luther Vandross. In short, he’s all about capturing life though his sound of music. After all, his album is about a young kid “having fun and growing up in the Bronx.”

Nyce Billy and Felippe Santos
As for Nyce Billy’s target audience, one thing is clear: It’s the ladies.
While his music is made with the females in mind, everyone can enjoy the smooth sounds and sexy jams that he brings to the table. With its hypnotic beat, “Feels So Good” is the type of song you can enjoy while you either sit back and rock your head, or bump and sway on the dance floor.
Now you know what the DJs will be playing next on the radio and in the club.
Keep in mind it takes hard work to get the songs from the studio to your ear. For that, we can thank executive producer Felippe “Yo” Santos, native New Yorker, founder and CEO of Everything To Gain Entertainment.
“A lot of people talk about a movement; this is a lifestyle,” Nyce Billy said. This bold statement reflects the dream that Felippe Santos has had for his label from the beginning.
After watching the hip-hop evolution first-hand in New York City, Santos got his major label off the ground in February of 2008. “ETG started as an idea in the studio of a Greenwich Village audio school and manifested into reality, which I was working in the A&R department at Jive Records,” he said. “My vision for ETG is for the company not only to serve as a well-recognized and respected record label but also a lifestyle brand.”
Nyce Billy is currently his top priority and, as a digital label, Santos is able to stay on
e step ahead of the industry. Since the demand for digital is high, distribution of music through available technology is one of the best ways to reach fans.
Currently available on iTunes, Nyce Billy not only has highly accessible music but also a highly charitable nature. With giving back being a main concern for both the label and artist, 10% of all proceeds from album sales go towards breast cancer and Lupus research.
Of course, no lifestyle is complete without a few words to live by:
“All comes in time, your destiny is your destiny, you end up where you belong, there is no right or wrong, play the hand you were dealt the way you chose, I got Everything To Gain and nothing to lose.”
With an upcoming album, A Bronx Tale, that is sure to bring a lot of recognition to both the artist and the label, anticipating fans don’t have to wait to listen to Nyce Billy’s tunes. If you’re curious (which you should be), more samples of the upcoming album are available online.
In the meantime, young talent Nyce Billy will keep working at his goal: “To be the best artist alive.”
