She’s an Oscar-winning actress who’s married to a rock star, and with their two beautiful kids (a boy and a girl, of course!) they live a lovely, charmed life.
She’s Gwyneth Paltrow. She has it all and she wants to share it all with us (in a manner of speaking).
On her new lifestyle website, GOOP.com, Paltrow promises to divulge everything from the best exercise routine to how make really good pasta.
In the words of the website essay that Paltrow wrote herself:
“Over the years, I have tried a lot of different things. I have made lots of mistakes. But I have figured some things out in the process and I would like to share them with you. Whether you want a good place to eat in London, some advice on where to stay in Austin, the recipe I made up this week, or some thoughts from one of my sages, GOOP is a little bit of everything that makes up my life.
Make your life good. Invest in what’s real. Cook a meal for someone you love. Pause before reacting. Clean out your space. Read something beautiful. Treat yourself to something. Go to a city you’ve never been to. Learn something new. Don’t be lazy. Workout and stick with it. GOOP. Make it great.”
While still minimal, the website includes a newsletter signup and yet-to-be-filled sections called “Make,” “Go,” “Get,” “Do,” “Be,” and “See.” While the site is in its beginning stages, Gwyneth has already sent out a newsletter with two of her favorite recipes for Turkey Ragu and Banana Nut Muffins. (I must say, from the photos, the dishes look delicious!)
After a quick Internet search, I soon discovered that Paltrow is rather unprecedented with this new website. Besides her buddy Oprah Winfrey, Paltrow is the only big name star that offers an advice-type website. Every other A-list actress only has the usual “look at my beautiful photos” website…although Paltrow does have one of those too. I applaud Paltrow’s desire to share some of her good stuff with us!
While we may not be married to a rock star and have homes in London and New York and closets full of designer clothes, thanks to GOOP, we can at least get some of the Paltrow mojo for our very own.
Thanks, Gwynnie!
