Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are confirmed for the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLII Halftime Show on Sunday, February 1st at Raymond Jones Stadium in Tampa, Florida, broadcast by NBC.
The Super Bowl Halftime Show is the most-watched annual musical performance every year, and more than 148 million (just in the U.S.) viewers watched last year’s show. The game and halftime show will be broadcast in more than 230 countries and territories.
In this decade, the Super Bowl halftime show has seen memorable performances from U2, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Prince, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers…plus, of course, an awful outing from Janet Jackson with Justin Timberlake — the “wardrobe malfunction” having nothing to do with it.
