New Eno/Byrne Collaboration
"Everything That Happens Will Happen Today"
David Byrne (Getty Images) It’s been over 30 years, but Brian Eno and David Byrne have just announced a new collaboration.
The Talking Heads frontman and U2 producer collaborated on three Talking Heads albums, as well as the 1981 Byrne solo project, My Life in the Bush of Ghosts.
The new project, entitled Everything That Happens Will Happen Today, will be self-released by the duo on August 18th via the duo’s website. They’ll also be doing a very limited tour in support of the project:
Newport News, Virginia - Ferguson Center for the Arts (September 18th)
Atlanta, Georgia - Chastain Park Amphitheatre (September 20th)
Austin, Texas - Zilker Park – Austin City Limits Festival (September 26th)
Phoenix, Arizona - Orpheum Theatre (September 30th)
San Diego, California - Humphreys Concerts by the Bay (October 2nd)
Santa Barbara, California - Arlington Theatre (October 4th)
Quote Byrne on the new project: “I just finished a record with Brian Eno. He did most of the music, and I wrote the lyrics and did the singing, and we’re really happy with it.”
Bryan Eno most recently worked on the last Coldplay album, Viva la Vida, while Byrne has been busy making a musical instrument out of a building.
