It did not take long for Ranbir Kapoor to cash in on his many Bollywood awards. After starring in only one film, Kapoor reportedly signed a deal for $70 million to star in Raj Kumar Santoshi’s Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, sources announced Monday morning in Mumbai.

If finalized, the deal would make Kapoor one of the richest actors in Bollywood. The $70 million figure rivals fees paid to Shah Rukh Khan and Hritik Roshan - two of India’s top paid and most renowned actors.

The deal, reportedly signed with TIPS Films, comes on the heels of the National Film Awards, where Kapoor won several awards for his acting debut in Saawariya.

Dubbed a love story, the movie also features the attractive Katrina Kaif and will be filmed in Italy and the Indian state of Goa.
