Bon Jovi To Play Central Park
For Free, No Less
Jon Bon Jovi (Getty Images) Bon Jovi is looking to spruce up the All-Star game held at Yankee Stadium on June 15th. The “Wanted Dead or Alive” band will be playing a free show for fans (of baseball or rock) in New York City’s Central Park on July 12th.
All of this is part of Mayor Bloomberg’s grand scheme to get the Yankees into the World Series, although details are still sketchy how a free park concert will secure the team in a playoff position.
Bon Jovi will already be in town, regardless, as they’ll be wrapping up their ten-city US tour in the Big Apple on the 14th and 15th. Jon, a New Jersey native, also mentioned that playing Central Park was “a dream come true” for him.
