The Police, whose current reunion tour kicked off in May with North American performances scheduled though November, was the nation’s “Most Requested Event” in the first half of 2007, according to a mid-year report by Ticketmaster.

The legendary trio ranked #1, with Disney on Ice at #2 and touring production of the hit Broadway show Wicked at #3. Other Top events included concert tours by Kenny Chesney, Dave Matthews Band and Jimmy Buffett.

Wicked, which was the #1 event in two prior quarters, continued as the #1 “Most Requested Arts and Theatre Event.” Monster Jam and WWE were Ticketmaster’s “Most Requested Sporting Events.” And Disney On Ice, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, and Sesame Street Live were America’s “Most Requested Family Attractions.”
