EI: For sure! Tell them The French Bulldog journalist said so! So what about God? What is God? Where is God?

SC: I think God is whatever you believe in your heart that God is. God is different things for different people, so I don’t know. It’s such a personal thing. It’s such an intimate thought so it’s hard to deal with…

EI: But God is also a universal and common thought, like the message of the movie inviting people to unite. Do you think we need to go beyond ourselves, what we are, what we believe, and unite?

SC: I think so. I hope so. I hope it’s inspiring without being too preachy, because this is what I worry about in terms of any movie. You want to put across a good and positive message without demanding that people feel that way, because you can’t force anything onto people. They have to think what they want to think. I think this movie does it in a gentle way. It has a great sense of humor and so much kindness. There aren’t so many movies out there that are kind and generous and have a strong message about love and commitment to each other and to the world.

EI: Speaking of “kindness”, the movie is also inviting everybody to build their own ARK–to do their own Acts of Random Kindness. What is the ARK you need to build?

SC: I would like to make amends with the birds who pooped on me during that one scene! I was very angry at them that day and it was probably unjustified. They were just doing what they do. They are not trained to use “toilets”. But I was very upset because nobody likes to be pooped on. So my act of random kindness would be to reach out to them, take them out for a nice bowl of seeds, and heal our wounds.

EI: What about if you had the power of God? What would you do with it?

SC: I have no idea. It’s such a huge question! I don’t know what I would do. I probably wouldn’t be a good person to have this kind of power. I don’t do very well with the little power that I possess right now…so who knows about being God!
