Ewan McGregor must be flush with cash from all his major Hollywood starring roles, most lucrative of which was probably playing Obe Wan Kenobe in the Star Wars prequels.

The 36-year-old will be doing a little stint as Iago, the bad guy from Shakespeare’s “Othello”, in London’s West End, but he will only be making minimum wage, and that’s by choice.

It might not be a huge deal, but it’s certainly refreshing to see it’s not all about the Benjamins.

The show opens December 4th in London’s Donmar Warehouse, with Golden Globe nominee Chiwetel Ejiofor playing Othello and Kelly Reilly as Desdemona.
